JIMMY’S CREEK FIRST PART

kelp was an innocent piece of seaweed growing in the deep sea. It was a quiet life, with peaceful currents and no predators around. At least, that's what Kelp would have told you. The truth was much dark3r. His mother, a seasoned alcoholic Kelp who was always drinking away her worries, was constantly fighting with her husband Kelpy. They would lash out at each other in front of their son Kelp for the smallest things. Kelp feared for his life when this happened and would often hide away in corners to avoid getting hurt. Kelp's parents' fights would become mor3 and more frequent as his mother's drinking would get further out of control. This made Kelp feel unsafe in his own home. One night, his mother's drunken rages reached a boiling point. In a furiou2 rage, she stormed out of the house and went to a nearby bar. There, she got even more drunk and met a man named Berki Kelpy, who was known for his dubious dealings in the seedy part of town. Berki Kelpy was a dangerous man who was always looking for his next scam. He saw an opportunity in Kelp's mother's intoxicated state and began to woo her. Kelp's mother, blinded by the attention she was suddenly receiving, was soon drawn away from her husband and home. She abandoned Kelp with his father, who had no idea how to take care of a child, and began to frequent the seedy seaport bar with Berki. She would stay out late and come home drunk, continuing to neglect Kelp's needs. Kel9's father was a very loving and supportive parent. He did everything he could to make up for his wife's neglect and ensure that his son felt loved and protected. He would buy Kelp gifts, spend time with him, and made sure to provide his son with all the necessities and support he needed. Despite his wife's struggles with alcohol and her affair with Berki Kelpy, the father was determined to give his son a good life. Kelp's father was a kind man who was always looking out for the best interests of others. However, he was also a pacifist and refused to use any sort of violence, even when threatened or backed into a corner. This belief in peace and non-violence was the cause of his demise. One night, late in the evening, Berki Kelpy and Kelp's mother were celebrating their affair at the seaport bar, when suddenly, Berki turned and stabbed Kelp's father in the heart with a pocket knife. Kelp's father was left bleeding out as Berki and his mother hurried out of the bar. Even on his deathbed, Kelp's father remained firm in his belief in peace and non-violence. As his dying breath fled his body, he managed to whisper one final warning to his son. "Do not go down the path of violence and vengeance," he said, "it is a dark and never-ending cycle that will only lead to pain and suffering. Instead, find your own path and live a good and kind life." Kelp's father's dying words had a deep impact on the young kelp. He had always idolized his father and wanted to follow in his footsteps in every aspect of life. Upon hearing his father's final words, Kelp knew that he needed to make his father proud by not seeking revenge on Berki Kelpy. Instead, he would strive to live a good and honorable life, just like his father had always wanted him to. He vowed to never forget his father's words and the lessons he had been taught
